Privacy Policy
Monoi keeps your reading experience local.
This policy describes how Monoi handles information. Monoi is designed as a local-first iOS app for reading Japanese folklore stories adapted across JLPT levels.
Effective date: March 15, 2025
Information Monoi stores
Monoi stores a small set of preferences on your device so the app can remember how you like to read.
- Your selected JLPT level
- Your dark mode preference
- Your preferred reader text size
Story content
Story files are bundled with the app and loaded locally on your device. Monoi does not require an account to access its core reading experience.
Data collection and sharing
Based on the current version of the app, Monoi does not collect personal information, does not upload your reading preferences to a remote server, and does not sell your data.
Third-party services
Monoi does not currently rely on third-party analytics, advertising networks, or sign-in providers for the app experience described in this repository.
Your control
You can clear locally stored preferences by removing the app from your device. Reinstalling the app resets those settings unless your platform restores them from a device backup.
Policy updates
If Monoi's data practices change, this page will be updated before the new behavior is released.
